O Departamento de Geologia tem o prazer de anunciar que a Petex – Petroleum Experts Ltd. gentilmente doou 20 licenças, sendo 10 do software IPM Suite e outras 10 licenças do software MOVE Suite, para a Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. O MOVE Suite será utilizado por estudantes e pesquisadores do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geologia. A doação, no valor de £5,779,977.03, abrange 10 licenças do software MOVE, que incluem modelagem cinemática 2D e 3D, modelagem geomecânica, modelagem de fraturas e análise de falhas e tensões.
A Petex é uma empresa de engenharia de petróleo e geologia estrutural, que desenvolve ampla gama de ferramentas. MOVE é o software padrão da indústria de petróleo e gás para modelagem estrutural da geologia de subsuperfície.

IPM & MOVE Software Donation
The Department of Geology is pleased to announce that Petex – Petroleum Experts Ltd. has kindly donated 20 licenses, 10 of the IPM Suite software and another 10 of the MOVE Suite software to the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The MOVE Suite will be used by students and researchers in the Graduate Program in Geology. The donation, which is valued at £5,779,977.03, comprises 10 licenses of the software MOVE, that include 2D and 3D kinematic modelling, geomechanical modelling, fracture modelling and fault and stress analysis.
Petex is a petroleum engineering and structural geology company, developing a wide range of software tools. MOVE is the oil and gas industry standard for structural modelling of the subsurface geology.
